The Peterborough Children’s Chorus (PCC) is a charitable non-profit serving children and youth ages 8-18 living in Nogojiwanong-Peterborough and surrounding areas through subsidized, low-barrier, high quality programming. PCC supports the development of young musicians through the rehearsal and performance of choral music while broadening the choral tradition locally through culturally responsive repertoire and integrated arts. Choristers gain transferable musical skills, tools for co-regulation, knowledge of diverse music traditions, confidence as leaders and performers, and make essential social connections for growth and mutual support.
In the 2025-26 school year we served 60 choristers, 180 workshop participants, and 2000+ audience members. Our annual activities include:
- Weekly rehearsals September through May
- Music education including sight reading, vocal technique, ear training, and music theory through skills-based movement, games, and song
- Outdoor education & team-building at the Camp Kawartha Environment Centre
- Seasonal workshops with local movement, drama, and visual arts clinicians, and local Indigenous musicians
- Northumberland YouthSING Festival – a partnership with S.O.N.G. in Cobourg
- Free, interactive performances and outreach workshops in local schools for students of all ages
- Public performances and collaborations with community partners such as The First Friday Art Crawl, the Peterborough Regional Farmers Market, The Peterborough Public Library, The Peterborough Singers, Harmony for Healing, The City of Peterborough, the Solstice Parade, Big Sing Nogojiwanong and more…
We live and sing on the land of the Michi Saagig Anishinaabeg known as Nogojiwanong, meaning “place at the end of the rapids.” This territory falls under Treaty 20 (1818) and the Williams Treaties (1923). We are all treaty people, and we commit to continuous learning about past and ongoing harms of local treaties and settler colonialism. We commit to standing together in the struggle for the safety and care of all children, and the freedom and sovereignty of all Indigenous peoples.
We sing as one very important way to connect with, learn about, and care for all our relations.
Anna Eidt (they/them) – Artistic Director

Anna benefited from a strong public music education in Nova Scotia before taking their intense love of choral singing to London, Ontario to study voice with Jennifer Moir. They taught vocal and instrumental music in the Toronto District School Board for eight years where they proudly led many high school choirs and bands at city-wide and provincial festivals. After a stint away from music education, Anna was ecstatic to return to the conductor’s stand in 2022 with the Children’s Chorus.
Anna is passionate about creating accessible, inclusive opportunities for deeper social and cross-cultural connection through group singing. They have been Artistic Director of The Peterborough Children’s Chorus since September 2024.
Carolyn Reynolds (she/her) – Administrator

Carolyn sang with the Peterborough Children’s Chorus for over 15 years. After graduating from the choir, Carolyn joined the Board of Directors and took on the role of administrator in 2019. Carolyn is still singing with Electric City Singers in Peterborough and will be around all year helping in the background. She is excited to enter another year with the choir and cannot wait to meet all of your choristers in person!
